Phoenix Creative Co isn’t just a shop, it’s the story of me learning how to begin again.

I’m Arlene, and for most of my life I’ve been creative, capable, and always busy building something. Then I had a stroke, and everything changed. Suddenly the things that used to come naturally felt harder. Learning new things took more energy. Even simple tasks felt overwhelming. I had to rebuild my confidence piece by piece.

But I didn’t want my story to end there.

Phoenix Creative Co became my way of proving to myself that I could still create, still learn, still build something beautiful, even if I had to do it slower, even if I had to do it differently. Every product in this shop represents a small victory: a moment where I pushed through frustration, kept going, and chose to rise instead of quit.

Why I Started This Shop

After my stroke, I needed something that felt like me again, something creative, something meaningful, something I could grow at my own pace. Art gave me that. Designing canvases, ornaments, coasters, and cozy décor helped me reconnect with the parts of myself that felt lost.

I wanted to create pieces that make everyday life feel a little warmer, a little more magical, a little more personal. And I wanted to show that even after life knocks you down, you can still build something beautiful.

My grandkids inspire the playful pieces, my love for witchy autumn colors inspires the moody ones, and my own healing journey inspires everything in between.
